Damon had heard Pippa speak but of course didn’t really react. It wouldn’t do good if he stopped in the middle of his little power and backed-off. Plus, this was better than fighting and possibly being seen or heard by someone outside the alley. Usually he wouldn’t care, but right now he had other things to do. Jesse’s words seeped into Damon’s head but at that moment he cast them aside. He could always ask her what he meant later.
After all, he took things from the source, not someone else. No matter how close that someone else could possibly be to the source. He watched carefully as he spoke and with a satisfied smile saw Jesse’s eyes dilate and undilate. Just like that the man walked away. Damon took a minute to watch him before turning around. His fangs sliding back to look just like normal teeth as he walked back to Pippa. He had wanted to see her reaction, but she had already collected herself by the time he turned around.
He smiled slightly at her statement before pausing and thinking. ”Well how about we talk about what he was saying over a drink? If you drink that is?” He wouldn’t eat. He had fed recently and human food just didn’t do it for him all the time. That didn’t mean that he didn’t like some whiskey now and then. And if he got a drinking partner out of it, all the better. So he was forward, he wasn’t known for just waiting around for the girl to show she liked him. He liked to take charge.

Pippa was still a bit surprised that she wasn't shure what to say to him. She hated to admit that he was rather charming, kind of like a darker version of Prince Charming. [maroon]"Well, Charming, I think a drink will do us both a bit go good."[/maroon] she said, and laughed.
Pippa wasn't much of a drinker, but when she thought she would have a fight, a drink might help .
[maroon]"And yes, I do drink. Of course, I'm not shure you will want to hear my story. Like my brother seems to let on, its not a good one."[/maroon] she said, which again was true. Pippa's life is sad, but it makes her stronger. And of course she didn't think herself a monster, her brothers and father clearly did. Pippa sighed internally because she thought there might be some hope for her brothers, like Tallo. But it was becoming clear to her that her brothers and father were way past the light.

Damon let a soft smile appear on his face. What was this girl turning him into? He hardly smiled when other people laughed, but she had a nice laugh. And it seemed her spirits were slightly better than they had been moments ago. He almost smirked at the Charming comment. Oh, he could be charming, when it got him what he wanted. "Right this way than miss. I know of the perfect spot." He held out his arm, for her to loop her hand through if she so desired as he started to walk. If she didn't, then his arm would just drop.
As they started to walk, he paused briefly at how to reply about her story not being a good one. Neither was his own story if you thought about it. Which he did, on a constant basis. He wished his brother hadn't left like he did. And sometimes, he questioned his own sanity at not repairing the bridge himself instead of waiting for his brother to repair it. His tone slid out of the light joking voice into a more serious tone. "We all have bad chapters in our life. Some turn to those for how we act. Take me for example, I wouldn't be this way if what had happened to me had turned out better. I probably wouldn't even be alive right now." A small smirk came to his face as he said this before turning to glance at her slightly as they walked. "Believe me Princess. Your tale may not be as bad as mine. Then again, who am I to judge when I haven't heard yours."
He could see the neon sign of the bar just a block away, not much further until he could let the bourbon take the slight burn at the back of his throat away.

Pippa laughed as she looped her arm through Damon's. [maroon]"Some tales, Charming, aren't supposed to be told until the Prince already has the Princess."[/maroon]
If only he knew, that she was actually a princess. She hated it, but she couldn't deny it. And, her children. She had three of them, one sister, and one brother, all in which were on the run from her father. Her husband, Demi, died because of her father, and that was so many years ago, about 20. And, thanks to her father, her children are cursed never to age past the age of seven unless they find true love. But how can anyone find true love at the age of seven? At least her son had a normally life, but her daughters, her twin daughters were stuck at that age. To put it simple, her life was a never ending story.
[maroon]"Well Charming, I'll show you my scars if you show me yours."[/maroon] she said as she showed him a sly smirk.
